Craft · Upholstery workshop
Tapicera. Enquiries land at the workbench.
An upholstery and furniture-restoration workshop in Sofia with 41 years of craft. We built them a site that feels handmade: a catalog of 130+ fabric collections, online booking for a free home visit, a before-and-after gallery and enquiries that arrive with photos of the piece.

The brief
Craft that needs to be seen.
Nobody reupholsters a sofa on impulse. Clients want to see the work, choose a fabric and understand what’s involved — before they pick up the phone. And the craftsman is in the workshop, not on the phone.
- Trust at first sight. A site that feels handmade: warm, unhurried and honest about the work.
- The fabric is half the decision. Hundreds of swatches need to be easy to browse — not a heavy PDF catalog.
- One photo instead of ten calls. An enquiry should carry everything needed for a price and a timeline.
- An inbox the workshop actually reads. Enquiries go straight to the craftsman, with no middleman.
Before and after
Same frame. New life.
A real restoration from the workshop: art deco armchairs stripped back to the wood and dressed again. This is exactly the material the site is built to show — every piece with its own story of what was replaced and why.
The solution
A workshop in your pocket. Open around the clock.
Everything a client would otherwise ask on the phone — the work, the fabrics, the “from” prices, the free slots — is on the site. And when they’re ready, they leave an enquiry in a single move.
A fabric catalog
130+ collections — upholstery fabrics, faux and genuine leather, outdoor, automotive and marine fabrics, each with a price per meter.
Filters like a big store
Fabric type, color, price, durability and code — plus “pet-friendly”, “easy to clean” and “water-repellent”.
Swatches at the visit
Clients mark swatches online and the craftsman brings them along — the choice is made at home, in the room where the piece lives.
Book a free visit online
A calendar of open days and times — the visit is booked without a single phone call.
Enquiries with photos
The type of piece from a list and up to 5 photos of its condition — the craftsman replies with a price and a timeline.
Before and after
Real pieces from the workshop, each with a short story of what was done — proof that sells.
A first-order offer
10% off in exchange for a name and phone number — the visitor who’s still hesitating leaves a contact.
A page for every service
Sofas and armchairs, antiques, leather, chairs, headboards, outdoor upholstery — and a separate page for restaurants and hotels.
A blog and FAQ
A journal of the craft, plus answers on prices, timelines and visits — content that answers before the client has to ask.

The craftsman replies
The enquiry lands straight in the workshop — with everything needed for a price and a timeline.
Gallery
Straight from the live site.
The site speaks Bulgarian — the workshop’s customers are in Sofia. The craft reads in any language.
Under the hood
Handmade. Down to the code.
No templates, no page builders. Every line is written for the workshop — which is why the site is fast and looks like nothing but Tapicera.
Laravel
The back end: forms, enquiries, bookings and content the workshop changes without a developer.
Alpine.js
Filters and the calendar respond instantly, without reloading the page.
GSAP
Soft, unhurried motion that suits the craft — nothing that shouts.
Data for Google
The workshop, address, opening hours and FAQ are described to the schema.org standard.
By the numbers
Only real numbers.
What the client got
The workshop’s best salesperson.
A site that shows the work, advises on the fabric and books the visit — while the craftsman’s hands are in the upholstery.
- A site that looks like their work — warm and crafted.
- A catalog of 130+ fabric collections with real filters.
- Online booking for free visits — no phone tag.
- Enquiries with photos that go straight to the workshop.
- A first-order offer that captures the numbers of people still deciding.
- A page for every service, plus a blog and FAQ.
- An admin where the workshop updates the content itself.
The craftsman works; the site sells. While the hands are in the fabric, the site shows the work, helps with the fabric choice and books the visits.

Questions
Before you ask.
We’re a small workshop. Isn’t a social media page enough?
A social page is good for news. A website is where the client sees the work, chooses, books a visit and leaves you a phone number — and where Google can show you to someone searching for exactly what you do.
Can I take bookings online?
Yes — from a simple booking request to a full calendar of your own, with no commission, like Tapicera’s free-visit booking. On the free call we’ll tell you honestly what you need, and the fee is fixed in writing before we start. Every option is on the Pricing page.
Can I add before-and-after photos myself?
Yes. A Director’s Cut comes with an admin panel where you add photos, services and copy yourself. On a Short or a Feature, care covers the changes for you — Standard care includes up to two hours a month.
How long does it take?
A Short ships in 2–3 weeks, a Feature in 4–8 and a Director’s Cut in 8–12. You watch the build on a live staging URL from the first days.
Who owns the site after launch?
You do — the code, the domain and the content. Care is optional, with no lock‑in.
