Restaurant chain · Online ordering

Beshamel. Online orders. Zero commission.

Home cooking in Sofia since 2019. We built them a trilingual website that opens like a film — and an ordering system of their own, with no delivery platform taking a cut. Orders reach the kitchen every day.

The brief

You eat with your eyes first.

Beshamel shoots its food on pure black. The site had to be built around that darkness — menus that feel like plates arriving at the table. And behind the beauty, real work for the kitchen.

  • A shop window that whets the appetite. Beshamel’s photography deserves a stage, not a template grid of cards.
  • Guests in three languages. Full content in Bulgarian, English and Russian — not just translated headings.
  • Orders without a middleman. Every order through someone else’s platform is a percentage that never stays in the restaurant.
  • Many audiences. Diners, companies ordering lunch, franchise partners and future staff — each looking for something different.

The solution

Whets the appetite. Takes the order.

Two things in one: a shop window that makes you hungry, and a sales channel of their own that works for the kitchen — not just for the visitor.

A cinematic scroll opening

The site opens with a scroll film: frames move under your thumb and the dishes seem to arrive at the table.

Online ordering of their own

Guests order directly from Beshamel and the order goes to the kitchen. No platform, no percentage of the bill.

A fully transparent menu

Every dish with ingredients, portion weight, calories and price — in euro and in lev. Guests know what they’re ordering before they order.

Three languages, whole pages

Bulgarian, English and Russian — full content in every language, not translated buttons.

The ToGo line

A page of its own for ToGo — Beshamel’s ready-made dishes to take home, with a proper place on the site.

Companies, franchise, careers

Corporate lunches with a call-back form, a franchise page for partners and careers for new hires — every audience gets its own page.

Online ordering

The order goes straight to the kitchen.

Beshamel’s own system replaces the middleman. Guests order directly, the kitchen receives the orders every day, and the restaurant keeps both the customer and the full amount.

  1. 01

    The guest orders directly

Through Beshamel’s own system — without going through a third-party delivery platform.

  2. 02

The order lands in the kitchen

Every day, straight into the restaurant — with no middleman in between.

  3. 03

    The full amount stays

No commission to a platform — not a single percent of the order.

  4. 04

    The guest stays yours

The relationship with the customer belongs to the restaurant, not to the middleman.

Under the hood

Fast up front. Tidy behind.

Every line is written for Beshamel. No theme, no page builder, no outside platform to depend on.

  • Laravel. The back end: secure forms, a simple admin and content the team edits without calling a developer to change a line of text.
  • A custom front end. Hand-written, no templates — which is why it’s fast and looks like nothing but Beshamel.
  • The scroll film. Frames drawn one by one under your thumb — GSAP and ScrollTrigger, with Lenis for smooth scrolling.
  • An ordering system of their own. No platform in the middle — orders reach the kitchen every day.
  • Euro and lev. Prices shown in both currencies — on the menu and in the orders.

What the client got

A sales channel of their own.

Not just a new website — a direct way to sell, and a shop window that works for every audience the chain has.

  • Their own online-ordering channel — with no percentage paid to a middleman.
  • Orders that reach the kitchen every day.
  • A site in three languages that opens like a film.
  • A menu with weights, calories and allergens — and prices in euro and lev.
  • Pages that sell corporate lunches, franchising, ToGo and careers.
  • An admin where the team updates the content themselves.

Keep the customer — and the margin. When the order runs through your own system, the full amount and the relationship with the guest stay with you, not with the platform.

For restaurants

Your restaurant. Your orders.

This is exactly what The Director’s Cut is for: a cinematic site with working machinery behind it — ordering or booking, payments, multilingual content and an admin your team can actually use. A fixed fee, in writing, before we start.

What restaurateurs ask

Before you ask.

Is there really no commission?

Really. The system is yours: you pay for the build once, at a fixed fee, plus optional care if you want it. There is no percentage taken from your orders.

Do I have to leave the delivery platforms?

No. Your own channel runs alongside them — every order that comes through it is simply all yours, and so is the customer.

How long does it take?

A Director’s Cut typically takes 8–12 weeks. You watch the build on a live staging URL from the first days and comment as it takes shape — no big reveal at the end.

Can we change the menu ourselves?

Yes. The Director’s Cut comes with an admin panel your staff can actually use — dishes, prices and photos, in every language, without a developer.

What does care cost after launch?

The first 30 days are included. After that, Standard care is €190/month — managed hosting, backups, monitoring, updates and up to two hours of changes. Priority is €390/month: five hours, a quarterly motion refresh and first in line. No lock‑in; leave any month.
