How the studio handles your data — in plain words, without the fog.

Who we are
Silkern is an independent web studio and the controller of the data described on this page. For anything privacy-related, write to hello@silkern.com — the founder reads every message.
What we collect
Only what you type into the inquiry and booking forms: your name, email, an optional phone number and your message. Alongside that we record your IP address, purely to prevent abuse of the forms. Everything is stored in our own database on an EU server, and a copy arrives in our studio email. No accounts, no profiles, nothing collected behind your back.
Why we process it
To reply to you and to hold the intro call you asked for — the steps taken at your request before any contract, under Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. The IP address is kept on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the forms free of abuse, under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Cookies & analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads measurement — but only after you agree via the cookie banner. Until then, nothing is measured. You can change your mind at any time:
Processors
Three companies touch your data on our behalf: Google Ireland Ltd. (analytics and ads measurement, with your consent), our hosting provider on EU servers in Frankfurt, and Google Workspace for the studio email. We never sell your data — to anyone, ever.
How long we keep it
Form submissions are kept for 24 months, then deleted.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask for access to your data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, portability, or object to processing altogether. Email hello@silkern.com and you'll have an answer within 30 days. If you believe we've handled your data wrongly, you can also complain to the Bulgarian Commission for Personal Data Protection — cpdp.bg — the supervisory authority for the studio.
